The circuits team tackles a broad scope of projects, affording researchers at all levels, students and staff alike, a unique opportunity for engineering and scientific growth. Our mission is to create ways to deploy and use various technology advancements -- to make research ideas come to life.

San Diego Science Festival |

Gizmo was a big hit of the Calit2 exhibit on Expo Day, the grand finale of the month-long San Diego Science Festival held at Balboa Park on April 4, 2009. Over 50,000 people attended. Gizmo is Calit2's family of
wireless mobile platforms designed to carry cameras, other sensors, and
wireless access points at disaster sites in order to get communications
going again in an emergency. Gizmo put a smile of the face of many
kids, big and small. Children as young as 5 years old waited patiently
in line to test-drive one.
